Professional qualifications

Regulated pathways for a long career

VTCT/ITEC qualifications are awarding-body qualifications, suited to career progression, further study and wider recognition. Each certificate remains a separate regulated qualification — the pathways below are simply how we group them for learners.

ABT-accredited courses

An AuraLuxe certificate carrying ABT accreditation, intended to support insurance eligibility so you can start working. Fast, focused and treatment-specific.

    Level 2 · AB20117

Nail-technology route. Final unit mapping shows manicure, pedicure, gel polish and extensions as applicable.

Prior learning: RPL only from recognised prior qualifications and mapped evidence.

    Add-on: E-file optional add-on.

Prior learning: RPL only from recognised prior qualifications.

  • Level 3 Nail Technology qualification

Level 3 · Title and code in confirmation

Facial and massage qualifications with a route into Access to Aesthetic Therapies, where accepted RPL mapping avoids repeating facial practical.

  • VTCT Level 2 Award in Facial Massage and Skincare

    Level 2 · AB20122

Add-on: Can support RPL into Access to Aesthetic Therapies so facial practical is not duplicated where the specification permits.

Prior learning: Mapped per learner against the current specification.

    Level 3 · AM30136

    Full-body Swedish massage.

Electrical and additional theory modules plus the required papers. Prior facial learning may be RPL-mapped.

Prior learning: Each learner's RPL mapping and assessment requirements are verified individually.

Your progression

Online core → practical upgrade → optional VTCT

VTCT is an optional progression route for suitable learners. It is not automatically included with an AuraLuxe online or blended course — your AuraLuxe certificate stands on its own, and a VTCT qualification is a separate, regulated route you can choose to add.

  1. Step 1

    Online core

Theory, video demonstrations and written work completed at your own pace, with tutor feedback. Your AuraLuxe online payment is credited in full against an eligible practical upgrade.

  2. Step 2

    Academy / blended practical

Practical days in the Midleton studio to develop and be assessed on technique, leading to your AuraLuxe certificate with ABT accreditation where it applies.

  3. Step 3

    VTCT qualification upgrade

Optional, for suitable learners. A regulated route added on top of your existing learning — reviewed, priced and confirmed in writing before any registration.

Step 3 is optional and is not available on every course. Where it applies, we confirm the exact qualification, requirements and fee first.

You keep the AuraLuxe learning and progress you have already paid for. Upgrading does not mean restarting the whole course — we map what you have already completed and only add what the qualification requires on top.

VTCT upgrade fees vary according to the qualification, registration, assessment and quality-assurance requirements. Request an upgrade and AuraLuxe will confirm your exact route and fee before registration.

From about €300 to €900estimate only, not a quote.

Before you enrol

ABT-accredited courses carry an AuraLuxe certificate with ABT accreditation and are intended to support insurance eligibility. Acceptance is always at your insurer's discretion — please confirm with your insurer and check the requirements of the country you work in before booking.

Published durations do not include multiple-choice papers, practical assessments, additional assessment visits, IQA activity or EQA sampling/visits. Your individual assessment schedule is confirmed after enrolment, taking account of prior qualifications, relevant experience, available evidence and the requirements of the selected qualification.

Certificate titles, accreditation wording, durations, prices and eligibility are confirmed with you in writing before you enrol — we check your certificates first, because prior qualifications can shorten some routes. Kit and supplies costs are always quoted separately from the training fee.
