Treatments & booking
Do I need a patch test?
Yes — any tint, lash lift or brow lamination needs a patch test at least 48 hours beforehand. It takes a few minutes and there's no charge. If you've had one with us in the last six months, you're covered.
How do I book?
You can book direct with the studio using the 'Book with us' form — pick your treatment, choose a date and time, and we'll confirm your appointment by message.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please give us as much notice as you can. The terms that apply are confirmed with your booking — we'll always try to rebook you rather than charge.
Where are you and is there parking?
The studio is in Midleton, Co. Cork, with free parking outside and ground-floor access. The exact address is confirmed on booking — see the studio page for details.
Why private treatment rooms rather than an open salon?
Treatments like waxing, facials and intimate work are simply better unhurried and private. The studio has two dedicated treatment rooms, so you're with your therapist behind a closed door — never on display on a salon floor.

Training & qualifications
What's the difference between online and blended learning?
Fully online means you complete the whole course remotely — theory via video, diagrams and images with tutor feedback. Blended adds in-house practical attendance in the Midleton studio to develop and be assessed on hands-on technique. Each course states clearly which applies.
What's the difference between AIT and VTCT/ITEC?
AIT Accredited courses award an AuraLuxe certificate carrying AIT accreditation, intended to support insurance eligibility (acceptance always rests with your insurer). VTCT/ITEC are awarding-body professional qualifications suited to career progression, further study and wider recognition. We don't claim international recognition — verify anything you need with the relevant body.
How do I get insured as a student?

Do I need previous qualifications to enrol?
It depends on the course. Beginner routes assume no previous training in that treatment. If you already hold a recognised prior qualification, you may be eligible for a shorter 'qualified' route once we've reviewed your certificates — experience alone doesn't qualify.
Are kits included?
No — kits are optional and never bundled into the training price. Academy-use supplies and consumables are supplied for your training. You'll see exactly what's included on each course page.
Why are prices shown as 'on enquiry'?
Routes, durations and prior-learning credits vary, so we quote per learner once we know your situation. Enquire about a course and we'll come back with the price, next available dates and anything that shortens your route.
Can I study around work?
Yes — online theory is built for exactly that, with materials you can revisit. Practical attendance days for blended courses are arranged on mutually available dates, and 1:1 delivery is the most flexible option.
Where do practical days take place?
In the AuraLuxe studio in Midleton — the same room we treat clients in, so you train in a real working environment.
